Does this Slushy Maker work?

i was pleasantly surprised to find a slushy cup while cleaning my sons bedroom. It works great but it has a strange side flavor that I can't quite put my finger on.

I don’t want to waste money so I just do this:

*Grab a SunnyD bottle
*Freeze it overnight
*Put it in the other side of the fridge
*Take off the cap
*Take it out after 20-30 minutes and start to squeeze
*Add a straw and Enjoy 😊

Optional:When finished, add another drink in and repeat 🔁
