I would get the XLR version to use for recording/producing (with the mic tipped back), on top of teaching online music lessons.
Can you confirm these function just like the regular M50x (no feedback/mic interference)? And that they are still true studio headphones (no EQ/ other tech that embellishes the listening experience)?

M50xSTS $199 and M50xSTS-USB $229. Wow, price at high side now. Is able to enable some trial program for it ?? USB type-A model ? USB should have DAC module to make sound better with ANC microphone fine-tune chipset on it ?!!
