In a tiny Georgia town in 1977, a motherless girl dreams of life beyond the confines of her trailer-park home in Troop Zero. When her quest for connection leads her to reach for the stars in a competition to be included on NASA’s landmark Golden Record, it becomes clear she will have to depend on some new friends to take her the last mile.

Every night, Christmas Flint (Mckenna Grace) sits under a starry sky with a flashlight, signaling to extraterrestrial visitors that never arrive. Sensitive, imaginative and deeply lonely, Christmas and her equally eccentric best friend Joseph are the ultimate misfits in their rural hometown of Wiggly, Georgia. When Christmas learns that the winners of the annual Birdie Scout Jamboree talent contest will be included on a recording to be sent into space for posterity, her mission in life becomes to join the Scouts and win Jamboree.

When she is blackballed by the snobbish local Birdie Scout troop and their uptight leader Miss Massey (Allison Janney), Christmas rallies a group of elementary-school outliers to start their own chapter. With grudging help from her dad’s irascible office manager, Miss Rayleen (Viola Davis), Christmas and her crew have to bypass every roadblock Miss Massey can find in the fine print of the Birdie bylaws in order to reach the Jamboree and their chance at immortality.

From Christmas’ solitary late-night vigils to a final show-stopping musical performance, Troop Zero is an endearing and magical tale set against a backdrop of beloved hits of the ’70s, as Christmas forges friendships that will change her life and help her find a real family.

I just watched this movie last night. I am full grown adult... I laughed & I cried. It's been awhile since a movie really made me feel something. This movie will be one of my all time favorites alongside the likes of The Goonies & The Sandlot. I absolutely loved this!

Just watched the movie and I loved it from the very first second till the end. What an outstanding cast, especially McKenna Grace! And the music!

To the five people who disliked the Troop Zero trailer needs to stop, think, and react and see what this movie is very truly about. I’m sick and tired of people judging people. In general if there’s something that you want to say that is nasty, keep your comments to yourself and get help. These kids worked real hard filming this great movie and sometimes I wish this movie is based on a true story because it shows how a group of elementary school misfits lead by spunky outcast Christmas Flint and they join forces together to win a talent show competition for the NASA Golden Record against the high and mighty birdie scouts. My sister was part of the Girl Scouts here in Youngstown Ohio and she sell cookies for the past year or two and decided to leave because it was too much with how busy my family was doing and she wanted to do something else. On the good part, my sister Sierra did have fun and really enjoyed it very much to be part of the Girl Scouts. I can’t wait to see this movie, it looks so good and to Bert and Bertie you ladies did a excellent job of making this film and finding the right actress of Mckenna playing Christmas Flint. God Bless You 🙏🏻🕊❤️🌈. It’s ok for anyone to be different and do different things and we should all do that and not being told what is going to be happening in life. Its our choice of how we want to be and how we feel by what big decisions we Humans make. Yes, we all make mistakes but, we learn from it and keep from not happening again and getting better and stronger 💪🏻❤️. Now, as for the five people who dislike this great video, my message is this: Don’t quick and judge by thinking this is a horrible movie, I didn’t see it but, my sense feels that it’s going to be a fantastic movie and show good lessons for our human race to learn from and not making bad decisions in my opinion. Also, Christmas Flint even enlisted her former school bully to join her own birdie troop zero scouts. Always remember guys, be kind and humble and most importantly from Jesus is to love one another.

So. I am a 44 year old guy who is not very easily moved. Having said that, this movie had me crying like a little girl. The jamboree scene was priceless
