Best short and informative video on the production of microchips that I have ever seen. I've always wondered why the chip wafers was produced in a circle and not a square. Thanks a lot!

these videos are clearing up some questions, and giving me a lot of insight into how these things get done.

The term "tape out" is a carryover from when the artwork for printed circuit boards was created laying out the design with black tape.

1-wash potatoes 🥔
2- slice them
3-soak them in boiled water
4-blanch
5-bake/fry
6-add some seasoning
7-wrap
Now ur chips are ready to eat..not that complicated..

Anastasi . . . If the "2nm process" is just a marketing term that relates to improvements in silicon base semiconductors, then is there any reason NOT to think that in the future "we" could achieve a "0.1nm process" chips (aka 0.1nm chips) or some other extreme performance chips?

I always research about this process, but I never knew why the wafer was a disk. Finally, everything makes sense. THX!!!

Could you please express you opinion on this vs current main stream trends.
Thanks

I wish this video would have available 7 months ago, when I was breaking my head to understand all this from a pdf in textual form.
But may be now from now someone new would be lucky as he will get to learn from this video.
