Been going to Thailand for 20 years, stayed in Lamai loads, looking very busy now, nice to see it bounced back from COVID. Where Thai House resort is across the road, Marine bar used to be Rat Bar no.2, there were 4 Rat bars, half of Rat Bar 1 is still there I think, I was seeing the manager of Rat Bar 4, which is gone now. The boss that owned them all owed a lot of money from gambling, one day someone came to Rat bar 4, when my girlfriend wasn’t there, shot him dead and shot a couple of the girls who survived. The manager of Rat Bar 2 bought the bar and renamed it Marine bar. I’ve not been to Lamai for about 5 years, she was still there on my last visit.

First time staying in Lamai next week. Been to Koh Samui, 8 or 9 times and always stay in Chaweng/Fisherman's. Going to give Lamai a try this time, looks really nice. Anyone know best place to watch Premier League footy? We are staying at Central Life Lamai. thanks
