As a kid, I had a "pet" crow...She lived with us, for 6 or 7 years. I named her Jess. She became the neighborhood THIEF!!!! She would fly off for a couple of hours each day, coming home with all kinds of SHINY objects! Coins, bottle caps, spoons, even a watch, that was still ticking!!! Lol! After about 7 years, she left, and never came back....I'm 50 now...its funny how animals can leave an impression on you.

New studies suggest (I could look them up if you're interested) that not the size of the brain matter but the amount of neurons and synapses. And they found out that the Crow has the same amount as Chimpanzees! Crows and Chimpanzees can solve both very complex cognitive tasks. It opened up a whole new perspective and they are positive that Crows are just as intelligent as Chimpanzees but they are Birds so they will need different skills than an ape and that's why they differ.

One thing for sure: If you see a crow nearby, don't hide your house key under the front door mat or above the door. He's watching you. May come home & find an empty fridge with the front door still locked!
