💲 NEED FINANCIAL ADVICE? 💲
1) Google "fee-only financial adviser" or visit www.NAPFA.org (largest association of fee-only financial advisers). NOT an affiliate link
2) The first question to ask any financial adviser is, "Are you a fiduciary to me 100% of the time". Get the answer in writing
3) Please note that some people call themselves "fee-based". This is NOT the same as fee-only. Fee-only advisers have committed to being fiduciary to you 100% of the time.
4) Personally, I would only hire an adviser who is a fiduciary to me 100% of the time. This is not a suggestion on what you should do. Just sharing my personal preference.

⚠️ Azul's "Scammer" Warning ➡ PLEASE READ! ⚠️
Be careful of scammers. In the comments section, I will NEVER ask you to contact me, offer any investment products, recommend a stock broker, or anything similar. Some scam bot commenters 'ask' for investment help, and later, other comment bots reply with "how great X idea/investment/person is" in the replies. These are scam threads. Do not fall for them.

🚨 Azul's VIDEOS ARE NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE (Disclaimer) 🚨

The decisions on how to invest, when to retire, and other financial planning topics are some of the most important financial decisions you will make in your life. I urge you to seek professional financial advice as you make this decision. Ideally, from a financial adviser, AND a CPA AND an attorney. Having the perspective of all three professions will help you make the right decision for you and your family.

This information is being presented without consideration of the investment objectives, risk tolerance, or financial circumstances of any specific investor and may NOT be suitable for all investors.

This information is NOT intended to, and should NOT, form a primary basis for any investment decision that you may make. Always consult your own legal, tax, and/or investment advisor before making any investment/tax/estate/financial planning considerations or decisions.

Spoiler Alert: There are no "get rich" programs. Rather, just basic blocking & tackling and putting in time and care. Do your homework, choose wisely and (IMHO) work with experienced professionals who are fiduciary to you 100% of the time.

I have been retired for five years now. Although I've been adhering to the 4% rule, things are challenging as I did not anticipate. 30% of the $600K I invested in st0cks is lost to the market. How can I diversify my portfolio for retirement

I think the retirement crisis will get even worse. A lot of people can’t save because of low paying jobs, inflation, and insane rental rates. And now that home ownership is out of reach for middle class Americans, they won’t have a house to retire with either.

Warren Buffett once said to treat investing in securities like real estate, you don't constantly check for gains. I am currently in my 50s and This is no time to taper retirement savings. I want to max out my retirement contributions and I also have another $200k in a savings account that i want to invest in a non-retirement account. Where should I invest it now?

Good advice! Also, my sense of humor can't help but chuckle at how often you find yourself in the middle of noisy space while filming.

As an investment enthusiast, I often wonder how top-level investors are able to become millionaires through investing. I have a significant amount of capital to start with, but I'm unsure about the strategies and direction I should take to help me generate substantial profits like some people are this season.

As a younger man I listened to "traditional" advice. Just like you I did the 60/40. I left so much money on the table over the past 10 years. Over the past couple of years, I have gotten much more aggressive and have reaped the rewards.

Boy, that street is nothing but barred windows, metal doors, and wood doors that appear to have taken a beating.

2:20 Azul you were 60/40 in your 30’s and 40’s. The 2008 crisis helped me too and I was only 31 when it happened. I should have a good retirement with 100 percent stock growth/. Will use ss and reverse mortgage both at age 62 if stocks tank 😊

TRY RETIRING on a beachfront home in Southern California. That's what I'm doing while renting out my other properties.

Azul I am to fearful of the market so I am 30% stocks and 70% MM at 4.5%. I am always waiting for the big correction to happen and the market keeps moving higher. I do also have rental property also. It's so hard to think about invest in a market that most people say are over valued.

I believe the actual quote from Buffett was.... be GREEDY when everyone else is fearful!

When I was young, I bought BRK-A because I didn’t trust myself to pick stocks, had lost money, got involved in a real estate scam. I basically only bought what I knew, visa, amazon, apple. Once I got to critical mass sorta speak, I hired a fin mgr. he charges 1.5% which I don’t like but he outperforms the market consistently so….when the market tanked COVID I was all in and made a good return. I love buffet, munger, and burry. No kids, but I want to leave something for my godson, family.

On this subject, my largest retirement account is an age-adjusted fund in a 403b from a former employer. I've been pondering moving the money out for two reasons: 1) l think it may be too conservative in my final 10 years of work before retirement and 2) I am not sure I want the money in an annuity. I think I will want to control and adjust the distributions rather than have it set by the m.

I was the opposite of you. Everybody told me I was to risky. I guess I was lucky. We retired early and are enjoying travel we never did during our working years.

Right now, it wouldn’t be impossible to have another 2008 crisis. So, diversification is everything.

good message but important to acknowledge that you also got lucky by having all that dry powder available, that you also had just decided to use.
