Update: If you hear a squeaking noise when you turn a layer, take off the center cap and clean out the dust buildup on the screw. I think this comes from the top magnet rubbing against the blue cup. I had to clean all 6 sides, and it's not getting dusty again so it's probably all good now.

i think the coolest internals would be treating the cube as a gradient, white on the side of white, and then each color as it blends to the nearby colours (or adjecent/complementary on the colorspectrum)

If you remove magnets from the core, don't play with them. They are not metal (only metal coated). If two such magnets snap onto each other too fast, they can chip or even break.

If F is proportional to d^2 for magnetic fields and d for springs by hooks law, maybe that explains some of the different feeling. So the "springs" will be weaker when in a stable position (resting position), then stronger when unstable (doing cornercutting, since it pushes the magnet up into the screw). Neat. Maybe I'll get one

I got this in like Nov 2021 and I’ve been using it ever since. The cube is, as J perm said, absolutely phenomenal. The cube feels very fast and smooth even before I used an angstrom setup (oop sorry I know u guys are speed cube shop fans). Of course, since it’s so fast, you cannot put more than two drops of DNM in it. Martian also works awesome with this cube. I must admit tho that I wasn’t used to it at first because it felt somehow restrictive. It’s corner cutting is good when testing but in fact even relatively small cuts are somehow forceful. However, I think it’s mainly my problem as this issue vanished once I got used to the cube.
I made the transition from a Gan XS to this cube and I’ve pretty much smashed every one of my PBs with it since then. I got my first ever sub-9 ao50 on this cube and I’m so glad that I chucked this into my cart. Absolutely great effort to make a good cube at an economical price. This made me realise how good fast cubes can be.
