Everybody has their strengths and weakness. It's great that Alex didn't rip him a new Via hole over this. He knows Linus's strength isn't in micro soldering, but in technical side of things and reviews. He gave constructive criticism to show him the correct way. That is a true master of his arts.
That's why I try to learn as much as I can. So one day, I'll be 1/64th as good as Alex. He's a Top Tier person.

U know Alex, lots of time when i tackle a board, im jealous how fast, and efficient you are. i think back to the video when you said, maybe its your fault that people think its easy to attempt the repair themselves. i totally agree with you, it is your fault. 🙂 another thing i do is after any board, i literally clean the board spotless because i swear i hear your voice in my head saying “i see sign of flux” IM SURE IM NOT THE ONLY ONE.

Alex you gave me the courage to replace the charging port/ribbon on my 5th gen itouch, first time i ever use a hot air station. I had the parts for the repair for over 6 month. After binge watching about 6 month of your videos for several days I finally worked up the courage to do it. It was better than factory when I was finished. Thank you Alex!

Practise makes all the difference and after a few ettempts on broken boards i am now able to use a microscope on all my soldering. I also mentioned you a lot on Twitter after they asked me how come I could fix laptops and other small electronics so well. Because of your videos, I can handle bga much better now. Recently successfully repaired a Dell XPS 13 9350 whose ram memory I replaced. It is better than new as you would say, however I have been using that term since the 1970s :-) You are doing a great job!
