I was 55 years old when I met Susan, who is then 47 on a Christian dating site. She lived in Seattle and I lived in Detroit. I fell in love with her the instant I saw her picture. She wrote me an email in September of 2012, telling me I had to come out and meet her or we would have to not communicate anymore. She essentially said "are you scared to start?" So I went out to see her. She was wearing an old dress. We were in love immediately. She didn't believe me when I fell on my knees on Skype to ask her to marry me. She asked me to repeat it so that she could video tape it. We married in May of 2013. We had 2 3/4 incredible years together burning bright. Then she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She died on June 8th 2017. It's been 7 years since Susan has been gone, and my heart is still broken. I learned that I wasn't scared to start. It was the deepest most soul-filled love we both had experienced. And now I'm the one with a terribly broken heart thank you Michael Marcagi for this song. It really describes what I went through with my wife.❤
