Putin willing to 'cease hostilities' under conditions

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed willingness to consider a US-brokered ceasefire in Ukraine if it addresses "the root of the crisis" and ensures "long-term peace". But president Putin said there were still issues that need to be discussed.

The statement has been met with scepticism from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He's described the Russian leader's words as "manipulative".

Zelenskyy said he believes Putin wants to continue the war and that he's "scared" of US President Donald Trump.
