Lots of issues with YouTube. Blocking videos, promoting videos with poor content, pushing unwanted content to me, having to delete history or go to private window, having content deleted and warnings over non offensive content, etc. Other platforms are definitely needed to make internet video experiences better.

Biggest Issue with YT, nerfing search results, you get about 10-12 of what you search for, then what "other" people like, then "similar"... it makes it damn impossible to find smaller or newer creators and def can hurt all creators and viewers with them pushing what they want you to see... it's no longer YOU tube

I was thinking about quitting youtube for quite some time, both as creator and as a viewer. Im exploring my options after youtube disabled dislikes, because this is the straw that broke camels back

Among removing dislikes, treating creators like shit, demonetising videos, censoring and banning people for trivial reasons, silencing opposition and manipulation of recommendations in order to push narratives.

Trouble is, there isn’t an alternative. It would take a collective of people and a ton of funds to start anew. Either that or someone needs to buy YouTube and make the platform as great as it once was
