Will Bethesda Add This RPG Feature In The Elder Scrolls 6?

Traits weren't in Skyrim but IMAGINE if Bethesda added them in The Elder Scrolls 6! Traits are character modifications that provide a better RPG experience for any build playthrough. They've been in Fallout games, they're going to be in Starfield, and we think there's a good chance they're finally added to the Elder Scrolls series next! Can't wait to play ES6 15 years from now when I'm 45 :, )

Traits that unlock dialogue specific options would be great especially if it gives your character more agency in the world so it can match the players rather than in skyrim when on your hundredth playthrough and you have familiarity with the lire

I could honestly talk all day about what I want to see in ES6. The fact that the previous games are still so good is what keeps me hyped for it.

Not only traits, but I think light backstory's being optional would be great for TESVI as well.

Lets face it, they're never going to bring back classes, so a compromise with a completely optional, relatively loose backstory. Maybe you were an Ash'Abah which would probably be Redguard exclusive. For those who don't know, the Ash'Abah were Redguard warriors who laid the undead back to rest.

So maybe the story would be something like: *"You were the unclean, considered filthy by your own people for violating what they consider as sacred. They would've rather you'd let that undead corpse of your ancestors slay you like vermin in the streets, but no. You dared defend yourself, slicing off the head of your own ancestor to ensure your own wretched survival. You are an Ash'Abah now, the unclean warriors who ensure the safety of the townsfolk, even if it was a thankless job. You now carry that title wherever you wander in Hammerfell"*

Then having this backstory would give starting bonuses to your character so you don't enter a complete blob like Skyrim, where only your race determines your start. So skill increases *(hopefully Skills still exist, Fallout4 and Starfield don't exactly inspire confidence in that).* A plus 10 to Restoration and Destruction, Plus 10 to Light and Unarmored Armor, a plus 10 to One and Two-Handed Weaponry, and a plus 5 to Marksmen and Alchemy.

You could still increase you other skills however you want, and build your character however you want. This would only give a loose, optional backstory to your character and give you an edge in starting skills. They wouldn't hold you to a class and you'd still start at level one. So maybe an option to start as a greenhorn: *"You just left your hometown, abruptly and decided it was time to make your mark on the world"*

This backstory would give no starting bonuses to your skills and you'd be left with whatever racial passives your character had. However, you'd learn all skills 20% faster than other playstyles to balance it out. Maybe give it a soft cap once you reach level 20 where it goes back to normal.

I'd also want Birthsigns to return and maybe give something like Doomstones throughout the land that allow you to change your fate in game later for free. That way you'd still get the allure of planning out your character while not ostracizing new players. Just adding options.

"Bethesda tends to move forward with ideas."
*Shows an example of Bethesda moving backwards with their ideas*

Hmm, stuff that gives you a bonus and a drawback, anyone remember the good old "what star were you born under" stuff from older TES games, I remember always picking "The Lord" aka an extra healing spell but weakness to fire (extra healing spell/ability back in Morrowind was amazing, since no natural regen)

Bethesda loves taking one step forward and 3 steps back

Given how every single bethesda game removes RPG elements from the previous titles id highly doubt it. Heck fallout USED to have traits, now is a glorified shooter. Old TES games had immense depth to the RPG side forcing multiple play throughs, you can 100% Skyrim on a single character. We call all talk about what great ideas we have for traits but wed be better spending out time learning to code as id be very surprised if bethedsa broke character and added more RPG elements rather than stripping it down more and simplifying it to appeal to a larger audience and ultimately make more money

Imagine a foresight trait that unlock on your next playthrough after you finished the game once. Now you can role play as a spoiler for all the characters in the game.

Standing stones were previously birth signs which were basically traits in previous installments of the elder scrolls, coupled with the old class system and racial differences every character felt pretty unique, they just need to bring back old school leveling

What I want is more impressive features for races. Like Kajhiit can climb trees, jump higher run faster. Argonians can swim faster etc.

I only care about how much detail they'll put into skooma. I want an animation for smoking skooma, a trip system with varying intensity based on how much you take and addiction.

Scotomancy and/or Noctomancy with a Occult skill tree where you can ressurect whole nests of vampires or were-creatures etc etc using vampire dust, werewolfs heart. Or respawn an entire area of the map, teleport, levitate, ESP etc.
Oh, and a Questline to find The Fool Standing Stone (The Fool is the Eye of The Serpent World-Eater - Alduins Mum!) on the Eve of Darkest Blight (the thirteenth month when all Evil things comes to power). Dont ask for much eh?

I would like to see the armor layout from morrowind along with halberds and spears. I like being able to individually place armor pieces

You can get those in TES 3: Morrowind.

Birthsigns were Elder Scrolls' traits, but were replaced by standing stones(which in themselves replaced doomstones)

I hope they add acrobatics back and give khajit a faster sprint and higher jump between other races and also make caves and the night in general darker so using a torch actually makes sense
