Wall Stone Beach | Taħt is-Sur | Mellieħa wild areas

Another interesting place to visit in the northern part of the maltese islands. We will start our trek from the Aħrax tal-Mellieħa (Wild areas of Mellieħa) heading down through the path to reach one of the popluar beaches in Summer, named as the Wall Stone Beach or as the locals find it as Taħt is-Sur (Under the Bastion). In this area there is still a quayside which a fisherman who was there told me that the purpose was to use it for the Gozo Channel to bring the passengers there however the project was not viable and left unfinished / unutilised.

There was also a window formed in the rocks which collapsed. There were some photos in the past showing this arch. We came across a small cave and a small window in the brownish rocks which is part of the coast in the area. In Summer the beach will be full of people swimming and enjoying the area.
