Diffusion models have seen wide success in image generation. Before the diffusion models gained traction, Autoregressive models, GANs, VQ-VAE Transformer based methods, have all made remarkable progress in text-to-image research. DALL-E 2 has shown how advanced AI systems see and understand our world. Google Imagen has potential to surpass DALL-E through its much simpler design and impressive results to generate images from text.
