Title should have been “Addressing Burnout With Life” as this is sound advice for any hobby really

Definitely agree. Taxing your CNS from maximal training en route to your peak week contributes to that psychological burnout.

For me, incorporating a Pivot Week instead of a traditional Deload mid Meso has helped the most! And adding a Strongman movement event at the end of every training session has really strengthened not just my main lifts but my resiliency to burnouts.

Love your vids!

Totally understand this. I am taking a break from strength training and working on cardio. In all the time I spent lifting myself to death I let my cardio slip.

I think this applies to powerlifting especially as it’s completely number based when it comes to recreational body building it’s all about hypertrophy and leanness.

Thank you for this. Today was actually my last day of lifting, I’m on the verge of tears every time I get in the gym lately, it’s so draining. I’ll be taking a break and trying alternatives

These short digestible videos are 100% the reason I subscribed to the channel. How long do you spend making them? Will we get a behind the scenes into how long it actually takes to put together?

A good rule of thumb for lifting imo is if you stop having fun and u feel yourself forcing to go to the gym then u need a break.

Another thing I personally incorporated was trying and learning new exercises there's always new knowledge to apply and try out:)

I've started doing the same thing, albeit regarding tennis Elbow. I forgot what it felt like to perform a large number of reps and doing old bodybuilding workouts i used to do. Its been a long time since i actually had doms and a pump and it feels good.

I’ve also been struggling a bit recently. Here in the UK we barely get any sun in winter and when it is out I’ve been in school (now I’m in isolation). I think that can have an effect

My first 4 years of lifting I was addicted. Got super burned out out of no where and took a break for about 6 months. When I returned I just was not motivated. Changed my training completely to the mike Mentzer and I enjoyed that training alot more then idk why but it worked for me

You should add some ORMUS minerals to your other vitamins and such. That stuff kicks my ass in gear, there's a lot of magnesium so it's great for sore muscles and it also helps clear my mind more than any drug or even mediating.
It has a different reaction for everyone though so it may not work the same for you.
It just gives my other friend a buzz lol.
