I feel so ashamed as a human. I only drink almond milk but even for ppl who still eat beef and dairy products, there’s got to be a more humane solution to feed the population. It’d be nice to give back to farm animals instead of taking taking taking.

As someone who used to milk cows I can confirm that this is widespread standard practice. Don't blame the farmer; the dairy industry has razor-thin profit margins and they're just trying to make a living. Blame the consumers who either don't care or choose to remain ignorant.

Y’all all out there crying and don’t know the first thing about dairy cows. For starters they tend to be horrible mothers! And if they don’t stomp the baby to death, the other cows will more than likely try. The calf’s are removed and taken to a safe, warm, dry place to PREVENT them from being hurt! (And that momma cow forgot that calf’s existence 10 minutes later)

This really is heart breaking. I dont see how someone could do that fr. And see how it effects the mother smh. People need to treat their animals with reapect and love and make sure they are happy and healthy just like tou would your own child.

I want to point out at 1:10 of the video you can see another cow in the upper left hand of the screen with some placenta hanging out. I would suspect that that cow is really the calves mother not the one chasing the van. The cow chasing the van is probably in her dry period and waiting to have a calf and wouldn't have any milk to feed this one.

Happens the same way with goats, for making goat cheese. I have been to goat farms and mother & baby are in separate cages crying for each other all day. Its aweful.
