Pros:
-W/O knowing the notes it smells good, Y EDT plus soap.
-Easy to wear

Cons:
-Knowing the notes the smell is disappointing
-Terrible marketing, would love if the dry down smelt like it actually had some incense and oud
-Way over priced especially smaller bottle
-Redundant to the EDT and somewhat generally speaking
-They should of named it EDT intense and redo an elixir, bring back Y Eau Fraiche and then stop the line

These prices are getting out of hand. For me personally no fragrance is worth above 150euros, in the end its just scent what you spray on yourself

Elixir is a marketing term, it has nothing to do with the concentration. There were "elixirs" before Dior Sauvage Elixir like Hermes Elixir des Merveilles and most were not heavy scents.

You already have a daily freshy and a sweet fragrance. Use them first and then replace when empty 😎.

I took me 2 months to care for this fragrance. The warmer weather works beautifully with it.

I do smell a very nice oud note, lavender, and geranium. I also agree with their description of it being both dark and fresh.However, as much as I like this there is no way in hell I would pay for the full size as I have a sample. Also while the longevity is great, I agree that the projection is just average at best.

I feel like the elixir couldve been something unique, since its just soapier Y imo. A bit disappointing. Yesterday I tried MYSLF, it is not unique but i feel like it has the Y DNA but still holds its own place. A definite recommend to try as well.

I was scrolling through IG one night and was offered a sample by mail. Got it the other day. The card that came with it reads, "...Sensual oud wood is contrasted by fresh diva lavender and crisp geranium for an intense, woodier, & richer take on Y." I actually like it but I refused to pay over $100 for a fragrance in this crazy economy. I will probably wait until Lattafa or Armaf clones it. LOL 🤣

I do smell the oud. It's just not cloying or barn yardy & that to me is a win. The oud here is more cleaner & polished. Overall the elixir is the best in the Y line in my opinion & I'm already on my 2nd bottle.

What we really learned from this review is:
1. You trashed this fragrarance because it is not what you thought it would be as though Dominic Ropion promised you something and did not keep up to his promise.
2. One of the notes of this fragrance is Oud. It is not that reeking Oud that you like and that immediately disqualifies this fragrance.
3. It does not have some notes you like and thus cannot be well regarded.
4. The smell itself is actually quite good, even complimented by other people, but to no avail: it is not what YOU wanted it to be and as such is rated barely above average.
5. This is the last video of yours that I will ever watch again!

problem is whenever you put elixir in the name, the expectations are just high especially because of sauvage elixir

I would only really use elixir when it’s a long lasting masterpiece like sauvage, le male, paco rabanne victory and maybe one million. all of them had great elixirs
