NYC Living Room DIY Wall Makeover

Our living room wall was just a blank slate when we first moved in. We wanted to add some character to it by adding moulding, painting the room in Ethereal Mood by Sherwin Williams, installing a stone mantle, and hanging some sconces and pictures.

The most recent addition is the fireplace surround. We used peel and stick faux bricks for the inside, MDF board for the surround area, and trim moulding. Using Roman clay by Portola Paints, we made a stone look on the MDF board. Add in some flameless candles and this mantle was complete!
