I was born and raised in Orange County, California. Was blessed with my Mom working at Disneyland growing. It was the happiest place on Earth back then. I live on the same street I grew up on. My children went to all the schools I did. My husband surfs too. You can go snow skiing and surfing in the same day. Saying all that, I think parts of Northern California I am sure have very special places to bring up a young family still. Around Orange County it has become so expensive. Too expensive. Also our school system have changed. What they want and are teaching the kids today is messed up. But your children in a Christian school or charter school. You have great values in your family and with your friends. Keep to the smaller towns. This place is not what it used to be. We still have good people and beautiful places to visit. Do your research to the places you are looking at. Sadly the homeless problem has gotten out of hand. Do your research. You have a beautiful family. Don't change. Bless you all

With Jack, when he was a baby / toddler and they lived in Hawaii, I saw a happy couple and a dad with great relation with his son, even though they went on many 'me time' vacations. With the little girl I see a girl who is attached to grandma and grandpa since they are apparently the only most constant in her life, and a mom that's now coming over very self absorbed. 'Normal' moms of little toddlers don't speak about their cool new nails and tours with their hubby to far away cities and concerts.
They are concerned about what their toddler will feel when mommy is away. And she's laughing when Sunny moves to the grandparents instead of her, after she's back from probably another holiday (I didnt watch that part, don't watch much anymore).
And I read there is also a nanny?
Im not sure they read these comments, nor if they understand about attachment. The first 3 to 4 years are super important but you seem to be unaware.

I live in California. Is so beautiful. It Everyone is trying to get out! I pay $4000 a year in fire insurance. We are out of power randomly throughout the summer in 110 degree heat. Homeless everywhere. I’m in a small town and there was a homeless man washing his body with the sprayer over all the produce last week. I’ve driven past so many naked people and people dedicating next to the road. We don’t use parks here. Everything is so expensive. Most people here and moving their kids into private schools or charter schools. You do what you want but my husband grew up here and he wants out. I’ve lived here 8 years and it has been incredibly challenging.

Please for the love of god. Dont move to CA. GET THE HOUSE IN UTAH. Put down some real roots and just enjoy. Give it some time. You can visit the beach for a long weekend and go to Hawaii for vacy. The kids are better off in the school system in utah. And its much cheaper and its not falling apart like ca. Family is more important, the kids being around all the extended family while growing up is to their benefit. You all are good at going on adventureuse trips so they arent missing out on anything. Most kids never get to do anything close to what you all do in the years to come you will look back on all the memories made in utah and not regret it.

I really don’t understand these people why are they so discontented? They have loads of money a beautiful home two healthy gorgeous children yet they are never happy. They ought to get out and do some volunteer work and give something back and maybe it would make them realise just how lucky they really are.

I think these two are not looking deep inside themselves to see what's missing. They keep moving and looking for worldly pleasures to give them satisfaction in life. Happiness and contentment lie within yourself. I know this sounds boring and cliche but it is really true .

God has blessed your young lives abundantly . If we don’t appreciate the blessings and always want more he will let you spin your wheels to your own detriment.

Good luck with your new place. Please don't go to California. I lived most of my life there and I love it and the people, but the traffic finally killed it for me. It takes soooo long to get anywhere in town. Took me 20 min for 2.5 miles!
Love you guys!

Having roots where you can raise your family and bring stability to them is more important than a man’s need to move to gain some more sense of “purpose”. You can always vacation in the places you want to live (god knows y’all have the money for it).

Think of your children, not of yourself. They’re more important than the need to go surfing.

Wherever you move, you'll always take your emptiness with you.

If you are chronically dissatisfied with life, stop moving and take a look at your marriage and your long term goals. People who financially can't afford to run away have to stay and deal with problems. Try that.

I’m not a negative person but I cannot understand why these people are so dissatisfied with everything they have! What a charmed life they lead yet still they want more, bigger, better. Be satisfied with your lot!

Born and raised in Southern years. I BEG you, for the sake of your kids' stay out of California . Short-term visits if you must, but it's not the place to raise your kids.

Sunny is so cute, she looks so much like Jack. Looks like her pacifier is starting to affect her teeth. Jack is super athletic. Good luck on the house 🤞♥️

Oh my goodness! Sunny’s hair has really turned blonde from the sun! Both of your kids are darling. Jack did really well with the tennis racket so I hope a love of sports is in his future.
I am glad you are moving closer to Tanner and Lo. One piece of unsolicited advice I will give you is, please bloom where you are planted. I think it will be great to be so close to your brother and SIL and the kids will love being close to Ozzie and Stella. But there is no “perfect home”. The family inside is what makes it perfect.
If you are still longing for Hawaii, why don’t you and Tanner’s family buy a small condo together so you can spend time there a few times a year. I think a few others have suggested this.
And lastly, please, please, please do not move to California. I have lived here for 45 years and raised my family here. My kids were safe and we loved it at the time. However, I wouldn’t do it today. It is crazy expensive, crime is at an all time high, when my grand kids come to visit I can’t even let them walk to the end of my driveway to get the mail without watching them like a hawk.
About 10 years ago, someone tried to abduct my niece and her cousin while they were walking to the grocery store in the middle of the day. Thenkfully, a kid on his bike saw the whole thing and threw a giant rock at the man’s bank window and took a pic of his license plate. And yes, we live in a nice neighborhood.
I am not trying to scare you but please do your research.
