Asked by an audience member how he’s maintained humility amid such tremendous success, Schultz shared the importance of acknowledging that none of us is Superman and that luck does play a role. He suggested that good leaders must be willing to be vulnerable and avoid projecting an image of invincibility. People who demonstrate human qualities like vulnerability naturally draw others in because of their authenticity, and allowing hubris or conceit to creep in will undermine this process.
