In the field of fundamental analysis, free cash flow (FCF) is an important metric for evaluating the financial health of a company. However, the importance of FCF can vary depending on the sector in which the company operates.
(a) For which sectors is FCF considered to be more important?

Step by step guide to finding “Free Cash Flow Per Share” on Screener: -


Search and open the company you want to analyse.

Click on the “Edit Ratios.”

Scroll till the end and click on “Create New Ratio.”

Enter the Ratio Name “Free Cash Flow Share.”

Enter the Short Name “FCFPS” or “FCF/Share” as per your choice.

Enter Ratio Unit “No Unit.”

Copy and paste the following formula in the Formula Box “Free cash flow last year / Number of equity shares.”

Copy and paste the following description in the Description Box “This ratio depicts the free cash flow generated by the company per equity share.” 

Click on “Show Preview.”

On the preview screen, click on “Save Ratio” and check whether the ratio has been successfully added to the home screen or not.

FCFPS shown in the table, was in absolute rupees (not as a ratio). However, the share price of each company (TCS/Infosys/HCL/etc.) is different. Wouldn't it be better if we calculate it as a ratio?

Mam in this video TCS FCF Per share is 102 and Infysos FCF per share is 52 but the share price of Infysos is also half of TCS than we can say noth have equal FCF per share?
