Cody made his own heavy water and tasted it a few years ago. Pretty cool.

Thank god, a reactor who actually adds something to what he's watching.

You say, "long term biological effects, " but i swear i heard, "You might get mutant powers."

I don't know how, where and since when but I've found myself clicking on every short and video this nuclear man has been in

if you drink d20 this affects enzymes hydrogen bonds and interferes with cell division. also after drinking several glasses of the stuff you can get a headache d/t the fluid in your inner ear becoming denser as the d2o replaces normal h2o molecules present. after cessation of drinking the d2o it is excreted and replaced by normal h2o again. mammals cannot survive on 35% d2o makeup in the bodies water. im more curious as to what tritiated water would taste like. it DOESNT lead to LONG TERM effects unless you take into account DEATH (if you replace too much of the regular water in your body with the stuff) d2o is excreted by the kidneys just like regular water so go back to the normal good stuff and your good)

It's like switching from regular to synthetic oil. But not as severe.

We actually use sweetness in a nuclear power plant.

He assums we have enough money to end ourselves with heavy water, that warms my soul❤

I might taste it, but I wouldn't swallow it. The only thing I've ever consumed in a lab was medical grade ethanol. Did a shot with my dad. And yes, it burns.

Thunderf00t does a good video explaining the sweetness (no pun intended) of heavy water. Surprisingly it is actually quite sweet.

Yeah my 10th grade physics teacher said it's kinda sweet as well, he worked at a small experimental reactor at a German university before he went into teaching

Your face when he said he was gonna drink it is enough to realize it's probably a bad idea 😂

It also has a better thermal conductivity than Normal water by almost 13%.

Love how you could just see a video on farts and make a connection with nuclear power plants

Yes and at just ten thousand dollars per gallon, the recommendation of not drinking gallons of it, seems prudent. :) I've always wanted to make wine with it though. If you make white wine with h20, blueberry wine with dho and then red wine with d2o it may have an interesting effect in the glass. :)
