That's a lot of electrical gear, very well thought out and fitted. I haven't a clue what's behind the panel on our boat. 😄
Keep well both.

Another good video, thanks. By the way they're 'bus' bars, not buzz bars. (If your bus bars are buzzing you've probably connected them to the a/c 😅).

Adi I know you were a Gas Fitter; but as an ex Sparky (a long time ago now), I have to say you have some very good Electrical skills and knowhow. Well done you. You guys have both put in some serious work to creating your new home, I cant wait to see the 'Final Reveal' and the watch your many adventures unfold.

It's all coming together nicely, hope grandad is soon feeling better.
Just seeing it all being connected like this is a bit confusing though. It would be nice if you could do a separate video talking us through the whole electrical system, complete with a diagram.
Looking forward to the next installment.

Looking good 👍 are you using a galvanic isolator? Had one on my sail boat and saved a fortune on zinc anodes after I installed it.. I used a victron and very happy with it

That's interesting about the RCD and alternator fusing. How did you find that out? I've only ever heard that one is necessary in US standards and even then a fuse is not neeeded if the alternator has a built in regulator.

Hi Ady, You know on the domestic alternator to busbar did you use a 200 amp fuse? and after the busbar you added another fuse and in this episode you say a bigger fuse, would that be a 400 amp? Your blogs help me loads.

You have me confused, I am building a boat and just sorting the battery wiring, I had followed some information on how to connect 4 batteries for the best results, that is by daisy chaining all the + and the same with the - neg, then the last 2 cables are what I would take to a fuse, and the negative to a shunt, but now seeing this video it looks like you have taken the positives off each battery onto a busbar (with no daisy chain) and the same with your negatives, all going to a busbar and then through a shunt ? will that give even 12 volts, convince me because I will do it your way, it's so much easier.
