Denon PMA520AE Amplifier Repair

Fault
Amplifier in protection mode power LED flashing red.

Internal inspection identified F902 blown F2.5 A located on the power input board.

Fuse replaced and Amplifier powered via the a series 100 watt filament bulb.

The bulb lit brightly indicating a short circuit, a cracking sound could also be heard from the power transformer.

Primary of the transformer short circuit,

Replacement Toroidal Transformer fitted specification
230, 14-0-14, 32-0-32 220VA.

Amplifier fully tested working perfectly
