Robert Munsch - So Much Snow!

As the weather gets colder, students start to get excited about the coming of a real snow storm. I remember not looking forward to snowy days because, if I had to do yard duty, it was a real slog. But kids look forward to romping in the snow and making snow balls and so forth. Reading this book works especially if there is snow coming. I told the story of being in school and having it closed because a storm was coming. This book enables talk about different kinds of snow falls, why are some storms snow days and others not, how do we dress for deep snow, what kinds of things do we do to NOT fall into the snow and so forth. The questions are as various as the kinds of students in a particular classroom. On an entirely different level, it is just a fun book to read and to act out. Only Robert Munsch can write like that.
