DJI Avata weird Crash recovery flyaway crash

I had no control over it after the Crash but it is completly fine that little flying tank😍

Same thing happened to me in my first fly. It was really gentle touch to the wall even not like yours. I was in normal mode then drone fly away didn't respond the anything. Stop button also didnt work. That's why I lost my drone in my first flight. :( before that I was using dji mavic air 2 like 3 years ahead without any problem. Its truly sad.

It is because of crash detect service wen active you cant use the rc until the motors stops

Happened to me, twice. Using original firmware without any updates. Flying with motion controller, after a hard crash, aircraft flies with a mind of its own. Will not respond to control inputs. Both times it crashed again after flying some ways, like in your video. Both times I turned off everything and restarted for a reset, and it flew fine. Have flown it several times since in Normal, Sport, and Manual with both RC and motion controller with no problems. I have also had several crashes where it didn’t do a uncontrolled flyaway. Since then if I crash I will land, if no flyaway, and reset (power cycle) everything.

Thats the perfect example of why these features are often unwanted. Nearly turned a simple crash into a dead on crash into the water...

same thing happened to me. the difference is that mine flew at 98km/h towards houses. lucky enough, there was a tree. the foliage oriented the drone towards the ground where it crashed. no severe damage since it crashed on grass

My Friend just lost his DJI Avata, because of GPS problems. i guarantee you that the drone does not return to home where it took off. It is off with about 7 meters. So his drone landed in the swimming pool. DONT BUT DJI AVATA, the range is very crap. not even 400m
