Short version:
1) IV-V-vi (all in open voicings: root, 5th, 3rd)
2) IV-iib-vic (plus root repeated an octave down; with IV chord twice as long)
3) vi m7-V6-IV7, iim7-Vm7-IV7 (plus root repeated an octave down; with the IV chords twice as long)
4) (in C): FGC, CGC, GGBC, AAC... so Isus4, I5, Vsus4, vi3 (I love this!)
5) (in C): GDAD, BBF#AD, AAEAD (first twice as long)... so Vsus2, vii7, iisus2
EDIT in G, it's Isus2, iii7, iisus4, which is more sensible

(bonus tip from me: if you want evenly spaced notes, use the grid, not the metronome!)

"I made these chords up without using any theory just my ears"
Bruh it's a 2-5-1. The most used chord progression in music lol. That being said.... still sounds good. Kudos.

My biggest struggle is to make the initial chord progression, but this has helped me a lot!

This video earned a sub from me personally, man I can’t wait till I save up enough cash to do the boot camp. I’ve seen a lot of other tutorials on YouTube but your stuff is just super concise that I learned without spending 40mins trying to watch someone build a chord. I can apply these tips to anything. Thank you!!

"You're gonna make your chord writing game 20% better." Moves the bar up from 0 to 20%.

Our boy just told us we literally have 0% chord writing game.

A sus chord is short for suspended chord.
A modern sus chords replaces the 3rd with either the 4th or 2nd, and is labelled “sus4” or “sus2” respectively. If it is simply labelled “sus” it means that both the 2nd and the 4th are used.
For example while G would be G B and D, Gsus2 would be G A D, and Gsus4 would be G C D, while Gsus would be G A C D.
The sharp eyed will notice that Gsus is also D7sus4.

Optional further reading:

It comes from the practice in counterpoint of “suspending” a dissonant tone from a previous chord over the following chord, namely the 2nd, 4th, or 7th, (or 9th, 11th etc) before resolving it to the 1st, 3rd or 6th (8th, 10th, 13th).
In the intervening few centuries advances in harmonic theory have discovered that the immediate resolution of these dissonances isn’t really necessary*. So long as the note of resolution comes at some point before the end of the phrase it will sound fine.
This is basically what led to the discovery of Jazz harmony.

Ever since I've started producing the hardest thing for me has always been the breakdown. I've gotten really good at making a suspenseful intro and energetic "drop" but when it comes to lowering that energy and then rising it again. It always proves to be a challenge. If anyone has any info that would help I'd be happy listen!

I don't know of you are a parody, a genius or a secret hit maker. Really enjoy your vids and other than not being able to afford a lot of plug ins, can get similar and you are not snobby about it. Cheers sir.
