I am from Indonesia. I've heard in Bali the muslims patrol the streets so the hindus can celebrate the day, while after Ramadan the hindus will guard the parking lot as the muslims were praying in mosque.

I personally come from Jakarta, where the largest mosque of Indonesia and it's largest church are exactly on the same street across each other. During friday prayer the muslims can park their car on church ground, and mosque's parking lot is open for christians on Sunday.

As a person of Andhra Pradesh, i can confirm that there is a festival called Ugadi, but there is no such practice of silence and lock down etc

As a balinese, i can say that not all the balinese follow the 4 most important rules or "catur berata". It's not a must. Like, you can turn on the lights, but not all, maybe just one in your room that's still acceptable. But if you lit a fire and make a firecamp that's not acceptable. Also, hospital is still open at that time

Bali is the only island in Indonesia is closed for 24 hours however is national holiday in Indonesia! Balinese calendar are more complex than national calendar we have more holidays every 6 months cycles ! The Balinese calendar’s kept Balinese busy with their duties and traditions!
