Imagine teasing probably the strongest enemy in the entire anime since the very beginning. Saying that both acnologia(who made gildarts look like an ant and nearly killed him) and zeref( who needed the fairy heart just to be on acnologias level) both of these guys feared END, only to not show END and have him not even near half power but have him be a complete disappointment of a threat by having him be able to be stopped by Ezra, the most op character in the series.

Honestly boring that they made it a draw, even though hes clearly holding back. I mean END is supposed to have the power that ends Zeref

gray kinda made me a bit mad this episode because although natsu was a demon currently there was no genuine reason for him to fight natsu and the fact that he kept on threating to kill him also made me pretty sad

Honestly, Natsu as END should’ve both mopped the floor with Gray and had a cooler power set than just “Oh, my fire is demon fire now” (even though it literally looks no different than his normal fire). Like come on at least make his fire like. . . Idk blue or something to represent a change in his fire. But nonetheless, I feel like him literally being the STRONGEST demon Zeref made should automatically give him more powers. So here’s what *I* think Natsu should’ve had in terms of abilities as END

1. A passive ability where if you’re within a certain area around him, you’ll hear voices and whispers in your head (they tried to emulate this with the music in the background but it was just that, background music, the characters weren’t actually hearing it)
2. Different fire. This one is obviously, although I would’ve personally liked it to be black and purple, literally any other colors besides red and orange would’ve worked. And it shouldn’t just burn you either, it should have a life leaching effect on it (as in the more damage you take from his flames, the more he heals).
3. Some sort of effect that happens if you manage to touch him. Like maybe a stronger version of his life leaching effect his flames have.

Reasonings

1. This could be for some sort of scare tactic for anyone else who tries to fight besides Zeref. Like Zeref specifically made this an effect to scare people or even drive them insane.
2. It makes sense being that the person Natsu is suppose to fight is immortal but can still take damage. The more Zeref gets hurt, the more Natsu heals which can ultimately end up with Zeref dying.
3. For when Zeref does manage to get a blow in or two (seeing as we know Zeref would put up a fight). If Zeref manages to actually touch Natsu while in his END form Natsu instantly saps him of energy or life or whatever and heals

erza tearing up and grey saying " tears " really got me cuz erza's always been like the strong one they looked up to who they haven't seen weak and upset now she's here trying to stop them from destroying eachother and risked her own life for theirs anD IJUS man

For those wondering why gray fought on par with natsu, think about his magic. Ice *devil* slayer magic. Natsu, at this moment, should mostly be a *demon*. Although they arent the same thing, they are pretty similar (assuming you know these connections form reading an overly large amount of novels and manga). And, as you know, slayer magic has increased affects against the thing the magic was made for (IE fire dragon slayer can defeat a fire dragon SUPER easily, but for something like an ice dragon, they can defeat it with some troubles). Now, gray uses ice devil slayer magic. Natsu is a fire demon, so he won’t get much from the fact he uses ice devil slayer magic, but since he is a demon, which is close to a devil, he gets many advantages to fighting Natsu. HOWEVER, since a demon is not a devil, only close to one, he only gets minor advantages, so instead of being able to defeat a fire demon with only some troubles like it would a devil, he could, at most fight a nearly equal battle with a demon

Ah no matter how many time i see this scene. it look very normal than their usual quarrel but with a little bit spice in emotion. Even tho, they acquired the strongest power, Erza can always stop them with a simple block. Can you imagine ? Even Acnologia who make Gildart lost his hand Afraid of END.

Ok ik gray has demon slaying ice magic (magic made to counteract end entirely) but what’s erza’s excuse for being able to stop both of them? She’s out of mana and still roughed up from fighting her mom. At this point she just can do this cause she’s erza and thats it.

I think they weren’t even trying honestly. Throughout the whole series they caught for fun I think this was an example of that but at a higher scale now that they are both much more powerful. I believe we all know that Natsu would destroy anyone in the series at this moment but I don’t think he at all intended to hurt gray.

People should note, Gray is more or less equal to Natsu in base, that has always been the implication. It makes sense that Gray is this strong. Natsu wasn’t in full END form, and Gray’s entire shtick is being a counter to Demons. Additionally, Demon Slayer is ridiculously op of a magic, AND unlike God Slayer or Dragon Slayer, demon slayer seems to be constantly in a form as soon as Gray uses it, ie, the demonslayer equivalent of Dragon Force or something like that.

I find it weird that If ENDs job is to kill Zeref, and if Zeref is making a war, than why not just get out of the way and let END handle Zeref? Even if END wasn't Natsu, they could battle END once Zeref was dead.
Both Gray and his father are just obsessed with killing END, even though END was the greatest chance at killing Zeref... and he wasn't even the demon that made Gray and his father suffer.
BESIDES, When Zeref dies all demons die too, it would even more incentive to get out of the way and let END get to work, the problem is END is Natsu....

for those who say that being a demon hunter it is correct that gray is on the side with Natsu, remember that no dragon slayer could against a dragon, and that cherria could not against a goddess
