Lufthansa operates a fleet of 10 Airbus A320neo aircraft as at March 2018. Neo stands for "new engine option" and is said to consume 15 per cent less fuel than a conventional Airbus A320 and considerably lower CO2 emissions.
Porto Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO/LPPR) is the second busiest airport in Portugal handling almost 11 million passengers in 2017. The airport was rated as the second best (tie with Moscow Sheremetyevo and Malta) in Europe based on ACI (Airports Council International) ASQ (Airport Service Quality) Awards.
The well laid out terminal at Porto Airport is spacious and without doubt among the best. The Metro do Porto light rail line E runs from the airport to central Porto. A few city bus lines also serve the airport.
