I think people get away with these scams a lot more often than people think because the money isn't that large so it doesn't fly into the radar of investigators and/or expert doctors/nurses who might notice something off with the story. I think the only problem is she got greedy. She's an attractive woman and no doubt her story will get further than your typical "normal" scams. She probably saw how big the money got and just couldn't resist until someone figured out something was off. For myself I'm always hesitant to donate to these random "please help" stories that pop up. Even for legit cases sometimes people keep re-using the same story every once in a while to get a little bit of money. The ones that know how to bail out early before it gets too big are the smarter scammers and I'm betting they'll be very hard to spot since the money is so low and not a lot of people are looking at it.

As a breast cancer patient and survivor this infuriates me. This isn't the first time I've seen the video of her doing this. I think the jury of her peers should have been all cancer patients and survivors. Pretty sure she wouldn't have just gotten a slap on the wrist. SMH. She really doesn't understand how much it hurts mentally, physically & emotionally. I will NEVER be the same! How dare her!
