Nationwide rain, milder lows and cooler afternoon highs

Good morning I am Lee Jee-hyun with your latest weather update.
Rain is in the forecast across the nation. It's been raining in Jeju Island and southern provinces and rain clouds will gradually move north so have an umbrella handy for your morning commute.

Most parts of the country will see 5 to 20 millimeters of rain, which could be accompanied by thunder and lightning at times. Gangwon-do Province could see up to 40 millimeters of rain.

Rain clouds kept temperatures mild overnight. Daily lows in Seoul, Daejeon, Daegu and Gwangju started out at 8 degrees Celsius. The capital area will start to see precipitation from the afternoon. However, daily highs won't be as high as yesterday.

It's a couple of notches lower in Seoul today getting up to 14 degrees Celsius while Daegu will notice much cooler temperatures from yesterday's 20 degrees Celsius to 12 degrees this afternoon. Busan and Jeju will see afternoon highs of 13 degrees Celsius.

Another round of spring rain is in the forecast for Saturday,... including here in Seoul... dragging down the highs to the low teens. So if you plan to be outdoors on Saturday, be sure to carry out an umbrella and warmer jacket.
