This design is honestly what Mac users were expecting for the iMac refresh to look like lol. What a thing of beauty! I recently bought the Mateview for this reason, and while the design is similar, the more curved corners and glossy screen on the Matestation X is simply beautiful! There aren’t enough choices for glossy monitors, sadly. I understand the need for matte coatings— but contrast is simply better on glossy panels and there’s hardly any (major manufacturer) option available other than Apple displays (which costs an arm and a leg). Hopefully for the 2nd iteration of Mateview, they’ll also make it glossy (or offer both) and I’ll definitely upgrade to one 🙏🏻

As a Mateview owner I would be interested in this, but the lack of storage expansion kills it for me.... I definitely need more than 512GB and external storage does not work with everything (some cloud storage, such as Onedrive, cannot be installed on external drives). If in the future they make a 32GB RAM version and make the storage upgradable I'll definitely buy one of these

In 13:47 you said MateStation X didn't have a HDMI input. Just for your information when reading pecification page on Huawei's website, it said this "USB-C x 2 (USB 3.2 Gen 1, 5V/2A max. charging, DP1.2 (HBR2) IN/OUT )" So, a HDMI/DP1.2 adaptor may solve the problem you mentioned.

There is video input. One of the USBc ports supports display port 1.2. so it's possible to use a USB c to hdmi cable or adapter for input.

1. No excuse for not having a Network Adapter. Its a big desktop device, so a Network Adapter is important. You can't always rely on Wireless for everything.
2. Not able to upgrade? That's no better than a giant Tablet.

This form factor is begging for the RDNA2 Ryzen 6000 parts. Would be perfect.
Price makes it hard to recommend vs an m1 imac...
