Tbh I headcanon this is an instance where Ted thinks Barney got with the girl because Barney lied and said he did but in "reality" the girl realized Barney was lying to her and stormed out. This is my headcanon because it's really disheartening that a girl who saw through Barney and knew exactly what kind of guy he was the second they met still climbed into bed with him after realizing he lied to her. She had a lot of self respect and knew her worth so it's really disheartening to see her get played
