Very interesting method of attaching the buckle. How will that lighter weight, single thickness leather hold up over time?

Hows the both side of this belt are same, there must be a rough side as the inner side of leatger.

Using a channel gouge will recess and protect the stitches...using a space marker (not a pricking iron ) and diamond bladed awl is the Stohlman method.
