I always manage to create a clean look without any extra apps: when I select a wallpaper, it needs to look cool, and give the eyes something nice to look at. I usually use the digital Google clock widget, sometimes horizontally, sometimes vertically. But important: with transparency! Then I use 5 well sorted and thought through folders to clean up everything (5 because my phone fits 5 icons from side to side. I also use my drawer on the very bottom to put 5 of my most important apps there. Then I also look if my icons look best to the wallpaper if they are in normal or in black mode (note: I have a real me phone which also has the ability to make the supported widgets all the same color which I always use). And that's it

My favorite icon pack of all time is Halo. Halo is the same as Viral. But viral is darker and uses black colors e en in places where it should be white. Both are great. Neo/retro designs. Very detailed and clean. And they're both completely free. Choose one because Halo is stays true to the original icon colors, while viral is basically dark mode. You might wanna use a different icon pack alongside either of them because they mostly only cover very popular apps.
