Sub Zero \\ The Cube: Dark Ambient Music for Winter (Relaxing Sci Fi Music)

There’s a strange building in the hills at the edge of town. People nicknamed it The Cube but The Authority will never tell us what it actually is. My friend Jether thinks it’s where they store our memories, the ones taken from us when we go to work at the Station. I don’t know. Why would they want to keep them? Do they study them? Aren’t we just working in a factory or something? Nilan and his friends tried to go to The Cube once. They said they experienced hallucinations, like flashbacks, that got stronger the closer they got. Eventually peaking at a dizzying blackout, capture by The Authority’s drones, and waking up back in their houses. Nilan and his friends also make up stories to mess with people they don’t like. They think it’s funny. But they didn’t laugh when they told us about The Cube.

The Cube. Jokingly called a prison, The Cube is the main part of a Geothermal Control Station that grants power to the town below. People like to call it a prison because snow storms regularly trap people for days, if not weeks at a time. Its always well stocked and maintained, but the natural frozen environment on the higher elevations always causes some problem or another. Still, the town below couldn't exist without it.

Stories, conspiracy theorists and more like to imagine a dark secret within its walls and underground chambers. Extra dimensional experiments, alien containment zones, cybernetic transformation, secret military base, the works.

Honestly, the biggest conspiracy is wondering who keeps freezing all the peanut butter chocolate candies. Some people claim they like them cold, but someone keeps freezing all of them. Even the vending machine freezes that candy. Just that one in particular. Weird thing that.
