Palaszczuk's UK vaccine claim showed 'degree of recklessness'

The Australian’s Editor at Large Paul Kelly says Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk's "false" UK vaccine claim showed a "degree of recklessness" and "irresponsibility”.

The Queensland premier had claimed on Twitter the UK Government didn't allow people under 40 to get the AstraZeneca vaccine.

On Wednesday, Ms Palaszczuk tweeted: "The guidelines we're following from the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) and the Australian Medical Association are clear".

"Even the UK Government won't allow their under 40s to get the AstraZeneca vaccine. Please follow the health advice."

The advice on AstraZeneca by British health authorities is to take an alternative if possible but people are welcomed to take it up rather than not get vaccinated at all.

My question we were locked down in Qld for 3 days because there was 2 news cases? Then at 5.59 the lockdown restrictions were lifter everywhere except Greater Brisbane? But yesterday there were 5 new cases and no lockdown? Conspiracy theory is the lockdown was imposed because the state of emergency law ran out at 11.59 on Tuesday night, therefore to keep the governments with the ability to enforce a lockdown they had to pass the new state of emergency laws otherwise her wise they could not enforce the lockdown that we just had.

Each time go into lockdown another small business goes bankrupt, yet these politicians still get paid. Would it no be fair to have their pays also suspended each time they lock us down?
