Good alternative to Dura40.
If you play competitively you most likely play with the Durafast40 ball. These balls are a good alternative if you are drilling, a newer player that doesn't want quite the speed of the Dura, or just want a ball that lasts a bit longer. They are between the Dura and the Onix in terms of hardness and don't have the rubbery feel/bounce of the Onix.

Keep in mind that temperature has a big impact on the hardness/play of a ball. In South Florida where is always warm all balls play softer making the Dura40 the ball to play with. But in colder climates you might find the Frankly X40 perfect without cracking. For reference I live/play in FL where temps are 80-90. In these temps there is a noticeable difference in play between the Dura40 and the Franklin X40. But I went to MD to play where it was in the 60s and in that temperature the Franklin played similar to how the Dura plays in 90 degree heat. If I lived up north I'd probably make this ball my standard ball for rec play.
