BEST NEPALI FOOD in Pokhara, NEPAL 🇳🇵 | POKHARA FOOD VLOG

Показать описание
Welcome to Pokhara. In today’s episode, we will take you on a food tour around Pokhara and show you the best Nepali food you can find in Pokhara.
Our Pokhara food hunt starts in Begnas Lake. One of the major tourist attractions in Pokhara is the fish. We ate the best grilled fish at Majhikuna in Begnas Lake is simply awesome. The setting is breathtaking and the environment is very peaceful.
Sunset View restaurant:
We had a wonderful Thakali lunch at Nepali Kitchen in Pokhara. Krishna and Erik took the regular Thali and I took the Dhido set. Each Thali consists of meat curry or veg curry, rice or dhido, saag, achar, salad, dal, aloo tarkari, okra, curd, gundruk, and papad.
Nepali Kitchen:
We wanted to try some Tibetan food in Pokhara. We were so happy to have found this family run restaurant. The food is delicious. We had Tingmo, fluffy Tibetan rolled bread, Aloo Phingsha, a stew of buff meat, potatoes and noodles. We also tried for the first time Tibetan bread with chicken soup. The best Tibetan food we had in Nepal.
Potala Tibetan restaurant:
The best place we went in Pokhara is Sun Welcome restaurant run by Krishna and Lakshmi. We truly felt like home eating there. Not only the food was delicious (best pastas I had in Nepal), the owners are truly the sweetest and kindest couple we met. It is a 40 year old restaurant. They relocated but it is one of the oldest restaurants in Pokhara. If you want to experience homemade food cooked with love, come here.
Sun welcome restaurant:
We went for momo hunt (obviously) and heard that the best momos in Pokhara are located in Old Pokhara (outside the touristy area). The specialty of Pokhara’s momos is that they are served with a bone soup.
Samrat restaurant:
We also went to a fancy restaurant with a beautiful decor to try one famous dessert: The Machhapuchhre kiss, a cake made of biscuits, chocolate and cream from Pokhara.
Moondance:
We tried the fish of Begnas Lake so we obviously had to try the fish of Fewa Lake in Pokhara. The fish was very good but the haas ko choila (BBQ Duck meat) wasn’t very tasty.
