With IE support ending in June 2022, what are Hikvision doing to move to more modern browser support, while maintaining full functionality?

I have the DS-7716-NXI-14/16/4S model, purchased in 2021 in the US. This version has been discontinued. It seems it does not have the ability to control the camera settings e.g exposure, from a browser or from ivs-4200. Only contrast/brightness. The newer /S model, as you show, appears to provide this with the direct link to the camera control.

😅While I like the unit, it really seems like a poor move by Hikvision to stop support for this less that 2 year old model, only to introduce a nearly identical model (with the same model number, less the 4) whose firmware is not compatible with the previous unit.

Hi Dave, great video. We just bought a Hik DS-7732NXI-I4/S. Iv'e just realised that we need 39 cameras and not 32, would it be possible to add the rest via a poe switch? Many thanks

Excellent video, Sorry this is slightly unrelated to the video but Ive not long upgraded to a DS-7716NI-I4. In your opinion Dave am i best to run all my cameras on a separate POE switch or use the built in POE ports to power the cameras? At the minute i have them running from the internal POE but would like to integrate my NVR with home assistant. Ive found this isn't possible with them connected to the NVR as they are on a different network.

Is using the built in POE ports better than a separate switch do you think?

It is not mentioned topic, but I need tech advice. Does DS-9632-M8 NVR support AcuSense cameras. I looked into datasheet of NVR but there are nothing specific mentioned about human/vehicle detection on NVR channels?

I have a couple of questions :
1) If I am fitting pretty much all 4K/8MP ColorVu Acusense Cameras is it worth getting a AcuSense DVR or regular I series ?
2) I assume from what you've said, if I have mostly 8MP Acusense cameras it's probably safer simply to use all the features on the camera, and if Acusense NVR simply switch them off on the DVR ?
3) Do you know if and when they'll be increasing the 2MP analysis to 4MP or better ?

Is there a good Colorvu camera that supports two way audio? I was thinking of creating an interphone system with such a camera for a gate (maybe even an external trigger to which I could wire the bell button).

Cm i use the DS-7604NXI-K1 to or DS-77 to only 2 cameras on split screen ?

I'm confused, I bought the DS-2CD2387G2-LU camera which has accusense. However my NVR is the DS-7608NI-I2-8P. Can I get all the functionalities with this NVR or do I need to change it with the NVR accusense?
