Vespa Piaggio engine rebuild gone wrong

In this video, we dive into the rebuild of a Vespa Piaggio moped engine. We're tackling the installation of a Malossi crankshaft that, unfortunately, doesn’t fit properly. I'm not sure what my plan is going to be. Maybe new cases? Idk.
This is the crank malossi-5319434

I posted more about it in your thread but the gist is that this crank does not fit without machining the stock cases and that is information that even Malossi seems to fail to mention. Some other places I've checked out though say that it either needs case work or aftermarket cases.

Nice video/channel; That crank only works with a Malossi carter/case, also you need a shim before bearing.

You could probably mill the cases out 1mm. Then widen the intake.
That should work. But it's if you want to modify the cases.

What a bummer. I wonder if those scratches on the intake patch would affect how it runs.

It happens. I tried it on a Puch years ago, wrong crank.
