Norwegian Cruise Line Cancels Cruise. The Norwegian Pearl has started having engine problem. she has missed two ports and now Norwegian Cruise Line has canceled at least one upcoming cruise.

To the point about cars breaking down: I would not write off a car or company if my vehicle broke down. However, I had a brand new 2007 Corolla and it was recalled twice for the unexpected acceleration issues and even after winning a class action lawsuit Toyota STILL tried blaming drivers for the problem. THAT is why I wrote them off. It's all about how the company manages bad situations and NCL could really take some notes from Royal Caribbean!!

While Azipods are great for making large ships more maneuverable, they clearly breakdown a LOT more frequently than propeller shafts. Maybe the cruise lines should schedule annual maintenance and semi-annual inspections.

So sorry for those who got cancelled. I know the frustration. Mine was cancelled in April from the Oasis to Barcelona. Just got my new cruise booked and go out in November. Hang in there very disappointing. Hope everything works out for everyone, even better. Thanks Don for your videos!
