I currently work full-time in Japan as a "Salary Man" but I'm on my way to becoming a full-time creator and contribute to society through making content that I believe in and matter to me.

This is my dream and I know I won't be able to make this happen without the support from each and every one of you. So it would be great if you could support my life journey by joining "The Community".

Literally smiled along with you when you said you couldn't be happier, this is contagious good vibes and you've motivated me to go along and quit some commitments I made out of obligation rather than true desire! New subscriber here!

Hey I really enjoy your videos, I’ve been watching minimalist videos for 2 years now and I just realized that I’ve never laughed or felt genuinely happy while watching a minimalist video. I like that you show us how you are living your life instead of always doing something to keep it minimal like decluttering things or talking about what not to buy. You seem very happy living a simple life and it’s contagious. Also, we all like the aesthetics part of minimalist videos but I like that you keep it real and have fun with it! What I’m trying to say is you opening that ice cream made me laugh 😂 and it’s what I’ve been needing to see in minimalist videos! Keep it up !

I think that stripping away everything that is not essential is therapeutic. Being able to distinguish takes real wisdom, as it involves true self reflection to identify what truly matters. Achieving a good balance is the key. Past and future are illusions - now is all we have!

I look forward to your videos, Sena.
I have been in the process of trying to find what makes me happy. Slightly to my surprise, I found that when I started finding out about Asian cultures, I wanted to know more. I would say that I am now somewhat obsessed about China now and last year decided to start learning Mandarin. "How hard can it be?" I asked myself. Well, now I know.
I am re-grouping after my first efforts failed - my lessons started in Jan 2020. In a matter of weeks there was so much going on in the world that it became overwhelming. So now I am working out how to start again. This video made me think about how to create some space in my life to allow me to do this thing that is important to me. Thank you.

There are too many things that people desire to do, to own or to achieve. But the time, money and resources that people have, is very limited.
People always enjoy from gain/achive something and freak out when they lose something.
Minimalism teaches me to give up (on purpose) while encourage me to treasure the thing that‘s really precious and matter to me.
Minimalism also teaches me the ideology of "minus" in daily life. Sometimes, having so many stuffs, does not really make people live happy.
However, when you learn to give up, then you will discover what's really important to you. Then you will treasure it very well.
This is what i had been learning from minimalism.

Hi Sena, I subscribed too because the content you make is trully valuable ;) I checked the Uniqlo T you mentioned and found the material premium and confortable. I did not even know that it is a Japanese brand :) Do you also wear the Supima cotton? Or the U? Thank you in advance and keep up the good work (less is more)

Great video! I wonder, how did you choose what is meaningful to you? You are still part of Japanese office culture and the expectations (like going out for a drink or working overtime) that come with it. Was it hard to enforce your boundaries?

Sena, genuine question. Zen Buddhism is, to many of us in the West, the very epitome of minimalism. I am led to believe that most Japanese ascribed to the Zen Buddhism philosophy. So isn't minimalism in the cultural DNA of Japan?
