Here's a bluegrass anthem that's an absolute "must-know". I've created a break that'll suit the advancing beginner to get you started and well on your way to kicking this one off at your local jam!

I'm playing my Recording King M5.

Hi Jim, I must say: I'm 53, played guitar almost all my life, loved banjo because my extended family all played bluegrass music, so in the early 1990s my wife bought me a banjo, a book, and a tape (PRE INTERNET). I tried for a few months, learned a few rolls, and gave up (MY BAD). This Christmas my wife asked for a banjo and I got her one. She zeroed in on your videos and learned pretty fast, so I bought myself another banjo and now we are both learning/re learning. In 3 weeks of watching your vids I have gotten way (WAY) beyond where I was years ago after trying for months. Your teaching style is perfect, and your personality is facilitating! Thanks for the fun!!

Hey Jim. I have only been playing Banjo for 4 months and really enjoying playing pretty much every day. if it wasn't for your awesome videos and great teaching technique, I doubt I would have got it so quick. I've picked up most of the songs and loving picking away. Thanks buddy and I can't wait for the next one. Joe in the UK

Jim you are an awesome teacher I have been working on the banjo now for 3 months and have worked thru 4 songs and this is now the 5th song . These have all come after the first 10 lessons on learning bluegrass banjo series . The banjo is something I have always wanted to learn and at 50 yrs it is coming to me thanks to your attention to detail in teaching . Thank You

When I was a kid I remember my parents neighbor would play the Banjo. I think he was well into his eighties at the time.

I didn't think too much of it as a kid but I did appreciate it.

Thanks for sharing!

This was so much fun to learn! Two months ago, I saw your first beginner banjo lesson and did just as you told me: I dug out that old banjo that I had bought when I was 17, then found out wasn't "cool" in college, and that I hadn't touched since. Your arrangements for beginners are easy to learn (with your help) but they sound so much more sophisticated than the tunes I learned 40 years ago. Thanks so much for your help!

Thanks Jim. I'll start this song today. It'll make 7songs if I can get it down pat. I bought a Recording King RK20 but wasn't real happy with it. So I found a great deal on practically new Gold Tone OB 150 and it's a great banjo. I've learned about 90percent of what I play from you . Thanks again for the outstanding teaching you do .God Bless!!!

Thank you thank you Jim. I'm so new to banjo, 3 weeks, and how lucky to have found you from the start. I'm looking forward to exploring all the back lessons. You are so generous with your time and talent. Love your sideways angle approach on the videos!!!
