Our Catholic Family life and some hard truths we are learning.

To support our work go to,

Who are we? Ken and Janelle, (that's us) Catholic parents raising 7 children ages 11 and under. We're trying to live faithfully the teachings of the Catholic faith, and pass this faith onto our children. Through the intercession of our Holy Mother, and aid by the graces given to us through the Church Jesus instituted, we hope to be saints and if it pleases our Lord, bring as many people in to heaven as possible through the ministry He has given us. We're also a homeschooling family, failing our way forward!

Mrs Sofia is the best, recommending her to all beginners who wants to recover from their losses and gain more like I did through her strategies.

I can honestly relate to the story the Mrs. gave about exercise. That laziness really does creep into other areas of your life. Thank you for sharing! God help me to be consistent and persevere with exercising daily, reading the Bible daily, etc. even when I don't feel like it!

"Spread the effect of grace of your Flame of Love over all humanity..." It's a mistake to try to make everything ok all the time because suffering is part of life & a way to console the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus--it has value!

Thank you so much! I know this was God who brought me to watch because I needed to hear about LOVE. Lately I have been struggling so much with giving my time and being loving towards my teenage boys and spouse after a long day of working with 25 to 30 studnts daily. I am dedicated substitute teacher who is just starting my career as a teacher. Since I'm working for credential I am also subbing at the same which takes a lot out of me mentally and physically. As I mentioned my patience and my love for my family suffer. After hearing Ken talk abouh giving your kids his time and attention is an act of love helped me open my eyes and heart. Yes, I am guilty for being lazy and pressing snooze on the alarm, which then I don't end getting my workout done and so my day is pretty stressful. I do pray daily to the Catholic morning prayer everyday and just started saying your guys December prayer which is so so strong and illuminating but i feel like know I am just going through motions. I am going to have push myself harder to give more of myself to my loved ones. I just want to say thank you and I admire your devotion and your bond and how you share your realness. Thank you for your encouragement and prayers. God bless you and your beautiful family and may Mary and Joseph keep you. Please please pray for me and my family.🙏🏽💞

Your children are so blessed to be able to hear your words before they can even speak. Dear Father in Heaven I wish I could go back to my younger years and do things different. So happy to have you two in my life now. <3

Wow! That reflection from Blessed Anna Maria Taigi, gives me so much hope for us all and most especially for our non-Christian brothers and sisters. That's the MERCY of Jesus right there, just unfathomable! Thank you, guys! You give the BEST reflections! ❤❤❤

A LOVELY picture of your Catholic family and so reminds me of my, Catholic, family. With five kids, two dogs, other various pets, including an alligator, we were raised in a solidly Catholic household. During the depression, my moms' Uncle was a Priest and when her dad passed the family moved here and worked in the church. My mom played the organ and would tell me how she had to watch the Priest through a mirror, so everything she saw was backwards. My Grandma cleaned the church and I heard stories of her finding the Host or parts of the Host, on the floor and she would quick run to get the Priest. That old greystone church is still standing and in use, today, although another Christian faith bought the grounds.
Make no doubts about it, my dad was strict. It was not an easy go especially when you're in the younger end and see all your siblings do - like go away to college, dating, their friends, personal interests, chores and responsibilities and you want to do them, too - when you're five 😄
But there are so many untold values growing up in a "Catholic" household - many we don't realize until we are - even, much older. It is not odd to have a Priest bless the house. It is not odd to bring things to the Priest and have them blessed. It is not odd to have the Cross or Crucifix on your walls and pictures of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts of JESUS and MARY. When people make comment as to their homes or bodies and minds being invaded by ghosts or demonic forces, these "things" are foreign to them, when CHRIST is foreign to no man. Our homes are our first source of Faith, our first source of protection from the outside world. My parents' home was just that. Children learn by example, through watching and participating. My mom took me to mass before I was five years because I remember the mass changing in 1962 and I didn't like the changes to our mass when I was five!
How our original Catholic prayers have been modified and changed, bothers me the most I think. Our prayers lack the depth they once had. The direction, the composite intent has been taken out from the prayer. So, it IS strongly suggested to look for the old original Catholic prayers, the difference is so great.
Thank you for sharing your Catholic family within our Catholic Faith. To see a family as a unit within our Catholic Faith is sorely needed today! Our generation grew up around our parishes, their families and all the kids! Not so today. An element seriously lacking.
God bless you 🙏🏼🙏🏽🙏
