My favourite thing about Canada is peace and quiet like you said, I think all newcomers mostly chose Canada for this reason.
Vocabulary:
lung, cougars stalk their preys, derogatory, the wind is rustling in the trees, what purpose does that serve?, you pitch the tente, crow's caw, boarding school, unmarked graves, turn a blind eye, sweep something under the rug, barn, grieve the bad.

I like Canada about its pleasant living environment and natural landscapes. A lot of trees and bushes, low population density. the neighborhoods are quiet and peaceful. I love living in a quiet place alone or just with my lover. Sadly, the city I live now has a quite large population and the construction in my community keeps on day and night, making huge noise. That really drives me crazy.

My favorite things about Canada are freedom and human rights. According to statistics Canada is among top three in case of liberty. And I love people's attitude towards life, people are really nice and welcoming and they take their freedom and values very seriously.

The best thing I like about Canada is the excellent teacher of English on Mad English TV that lives in Canada and teaches us this sometimes weird language! When I saw the name of your today's video Happy Canada Day I wondered if you would talk in this video about that issue because I had just watched the BBC news about the rallies across Canada and that the unmarked graves at the territory of a former residencial school were found ... And you spoke about this issue and were so sincere. I didn't know anything about such kind of schools in Canada/ But recently I came across an article in an Englich textbook and it was about Canada's residential schools. I was in shock! Even more such schools existed also in Swiss and in Australia! Unbelievable that children were treated so badly so cruel in the 20th century. I just want to say that I understand your feelings. Thank you for sharing these thoughts with us. Anyways I wish you a happy Canada Day! Thank you for your lessons.
