While there’s a correlation between long COVID and ME/CFS, there are distinctions. Some individuals with long COVID may eventually recover from their symptoms. But those with severe symptoms for years might be classified as ME/CFS.

He adds that individuals with ME/CFS generally don’t see improvement over time, whereas a large percentage of patients with long COVID may experience symptom reductions.
