I just wanted to say I’ve been watching you for several months, but over the past two months, I’ve watched so many of your videos. They give me a temporary break from the reality of chronic illnesses keeping me primarily bedridden. I’ve always wanted to skate again.

I was never able to do any tricks, but of course I could at least ride a board down our street–but who didn’t, who was a teen in the early 00s? I’ll probably never be able to again, but your videos still give me hope that no matter what, I’ll find a way to do it, even if just cruising on a longboard, once, slowly.

Keep at it, you’re one of, if not THE best, skateboarding channels out there, imo. Thanks for all the smiles! I love how you talked about it being a mindset. So true.

It's all about persistence. Even if you feel like you're not getting better, go out and skate around. Be on your board. Find anything you can skate or make up tricks. Film, edit have fun

Agree with all the 6! One thing that helped and still helps me at 46yo is to Ollie everything everywhere. For me it's the best of the warm up and it also prepares my balance for the rest of the session.

What you said about not burning yourself out is the most true, when you get tired and stop landing things and start getting frustrated is when skateboarding can become more of a task rather than something you would do for fun, iv stopped skating for weeks at a time for this exact reason

weight lifting leg exercises and abdominal you’re more in tune with balance and lift off squats with weights helped me get that feather light pop

The burnout stage stuff was actually very true I’m learning fs 180s and I went 2 hours straight the other day and I stopped after I got close to it and I realized my legs could barely move, shit hurts
